Hi,
To preface this I am a die hard old school Autocad user. I type in almost everything. As such I have simply always used the Classic Autocad menu on each release. Well I now have a new computer and I think it is time to learn to use the ribbon functionality in Autocad, while still having the Classic menu to fall back on for production purposes. So on my new install I saved the current workspace configuration as "out of box". Then I exported my settings from my old computer and imported them into my new computer. This worked, but it wiped out the new workspaces, including "out of box" (I'm assuming it replaced the CUI file). How can I import the workspaces I want and still maintain the original out of box ribbon workspace so that I can start to learn its functionality. Also where in the CUI are the support file search paths located. My goal is to import everything from the old computer (workspaces, menus, file search paths, Autolisp loading, etc.) and to also have the out of box Autocad ribbon there to learn from.
Thanks in advance.

Did you change AutoCAD versions too? If not, and you have access to both computers, then you can do this https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-i...
If you changed AutoCAD versions, then you can either install the older version of AutoCAD from the old computer on this new computer, then do the above, then use the newer AutoCAD's Migration tool like this https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-m...
Or you can recreate the "Classic" Workspace with all the toolbars and pulldown menus from old (with no Ribbon) in about one minute on the new computer's AutoCAD like this:
MENUBAR command, turn it on = 1 (4 seconds)
Go to Tools > toolbars > acad > layers (5 seconds)
hoover over layers toolbar > right click > properties (3 seconds)
hoover over any toolbar > right click > standard (3 seconds)
hoover over any toolbar > right click > styles (3 seconds)
hoover over any toolbar > right click > workspaces (3 seconds)
RIBBONCLOSE command (3 seconds)
arrange toolbars as you desire (20 seconds)
WORKSPACE command, SAVEAS option, CLASSIC will be the new name you type (5 seconds)

Thank you for your help. I'll give it a try. By the way do you happen to know where the search path information is located?
Thanks again
