Cannot save autocad file to network drive.  Received following error message below:

AutoCAD Message - Unable to Save.jpg

How do we resolve this issue?  I am currently saving as a different file name in order to by-pass this error.

Thank you.

Refer to this and carefully follow the methods described in the post : Error: "Cannot save the drawing [path/filename].dwg..."

While I did notice *.dwl files in the folder when I encountered the errors, I attempted to save one more time before implementing your suggestion, and it actually saved the file.  I will definitely try your suggestion of deleting the *.dwl file next time I encounter this error again, and update this post.

Much appreciate your recommendation!

I was the only person working on the file, and did not change any permission status on it.  Also checked temp file folder, and didn't find that to be the issue.  These were my initial checklist items.  However, the suggestions on disabling the antivirus and Autodesk 360 sync may be worth trying next time I encounter this same issue.

Thank you very much!

What is that location tell us about where you store files and device it represents?
Is this a sudden new problem? R2019 is not new, something else change?
Did you try a simply shutdown and cold start of your PC yet?

Looks like you may have found a solution (not sure which).

The file is stored on a remote server, and it happened on that rare occasion (or I hope).  At the time, I didn't do a cold start, as I was trying to save a working file.

Thank you.

Could be a network error... do a saveas with a different name, then replace the file and rename.

That's exactly what I did... save it as a different file name, so I didn't lose my work.  Then renaming it after the fact.
