AutoCAD 2019 Selection Effect Not Working on Dashed/Hidden Lines

So I recently switched from 2015 to 2019 and one of the things that isn't matching is the selection effect. On 2015, when selecting any object, it would highlight blue. In 2019, I can only get continuous lines to highlight blue. Dashed or hidden lines won't highlight. In the example below, both lines are the same color, but only the continuous line is highlighting when selected. Anyone have any ideas?
