Hi All,
I have been having a problem with AutoCAD 2018 (Commercial Standalone Licence) in particular when attempting to create or edit hatching. I get the following error message within seconds of selecting a hatch object.
" FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0c40 Exception at ac2c1ad7h."
I have tested the file with others in the office running AutoCAD LT 2018 (Commercial Standalone Licences) however they do not experience the same troubles. I also have Civil 3D 2018 which I open as AutoCAD 2018 (Commercial Network Licence) and also do not experience any problems.
I have contacted Autodesk and have had several attempts with IT to do all of the recommended trouble shooting processes;
- Update software (AutoCAD and Windows 7)
- Uninstall/Reinstall (All Autodesk platforms process of elimination)
- Created new windows user profiles
- Turned off graphics acceleration and configurations
The computer I have been using is as follows;
HP EliteBook 840 G3 (64bit)
i7-6600U 2.6GHz
16 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 520
I must also add that I was comfortably using this arrangement for a month or two prior to the fatal errors occurring. The only thing I can do is a full reinstall of windows and applications (Time consuming when you have work to execute).
I know it will be recommended to just use Civil 3D however it is a network licence and designers need access to it more than I do at this stage. I am the only one with the ACAD 2018 standalone licence so it is better for me to resolve this issue rather than continue with a stop-gap measure of Civil 3D.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
