[AutoCAD 2018] Converting noncoplanar 3D polyline into a solid?

I'm attempting to turn a 3D polyline that's non-coplanar into a solid - all attempts thus far simply result in a surface tracing the boundary. I've tried everything from LOFT to SURFSCULPT and CONVTOSURF / CONVTOSOLID, I've made sure all polylines are properly exploded and jointed via PEDIT, etc. 

 

For me, the shape is that of a leaf that's 'fluttering' in the Z-axis, so it's got some curvature to it in all of X/Y/Z; achieved via splining. 

 

I've attached my .DWG here; if anyone can assist, that'd be much appreciated!

Accepted solution

Use Surface - Loft BEFORE you join the splines. Use THICKEN to turn it into a solid.

And if you are going to use this in a large tree model for rendering I hope you have TONS of RAM because you'll blow up your computer.

Easy with two 2D views (top and side) that you extrude so that they INTERFERE.

Got it ?

I would have help you more on your file if it was not recorded in 2018 format, that I can't open Smiley Wink

This last one is the one you need but you miss two surfaces : top and bottom

But you need "continuity" not sure 3Dpolys are ok

Why didn't you use a spline ?

This solved my issue - thanks very much!

 

Additionally, this is not going to be rendering lots of leaves for a tree, no - I'm attempting to 3D print these, but needed an actual STL model to slice. Much thanks!
