Autocad 2018 and Adobe Acrobat DC plotting problems

In the last few weeks my acrobat dc takes very long to produce a pdf from a dwg drawing and when it does it is 35,000KB.  This can be for simple or detailed 2D drawings.

Very frustrating for that is how I send all my drawings out.  Can someone please help me?

Why are you using Acrobat DC to produce pdfs when AutoCAD has its own PDF plot device?

I would try DWG to PDF.pc3 and most likely you'll be getting better results.

I'm having the same problem plotting to both Adobe pdf and the default (dwg to pdf.pc3) plotter.  The plot never makes it to the pdf and on a couple occasions everything that was drawn in my layout disappeared while trying to plot. Autocad Civil 3d 2018, latest Adobe Acrobat update, and Windows 10. I've had our IT team look at this twice now with no luck.

Any ideas??

Plain AutoCAD 2018 comes with 4 additional pdf plotters:

AutoCAD PDF (General Documentation).pc3

AutoCAD PDF (High Quality Print).pc3

AutoCAD PDF (Smallest File).pc3

AutoCAD PDF (Web and Mobile).pc3

You can try using these to see if you're successful in creating a PDF.

Also, just to see if the file itself is the problem, print to DWF using:

DWF6 ePlot.pc3

You'll need to download the free Design Review app from Autodesk to view this format type:

I have an issue that has started recently with Autocad 2018.  I try to plot a drawing to pdf, it will create the first drawing file but then when I plot the second drawing, Autocad freezes and I have to force a shut down.  The pdf will not complete the plot process but I do not receive an error message.  Anyone have an idea on what is happening with the system?
