Autocad 2016 opening file error

When I want to open a file using ctrl+o or using the folder button the file dialog (is it called that way?) box does not appear. The screen freezes untill I press escape and in the command line bar _open appears as if I had opened a file.

I tried filedia but that doesn't solve it.

Does anyone have any idea?

It could be the box is appearing off the screen where you can't see it. Hold down ALT+SPACE+M then tap one of the directional arrow keys and now move the mouse and the box should attach to your cursor.

Thanxs for the tip, but it didn't work out. The box just isn't there.

When I hold down ALT+SPACE+M a fold down menu appears but with nothing I can use.

I've added some pictures where you can see what happens. In the left corner of the printscreen you can see the ALT+SPACE+M result.

Finally I reset my autocad to basic settings and now it is fixed. But I still don't what happened.
