Dear Sir/Madam,
We have been getting below issue with AutoCAD 2016, .dwf file is not opening.
Earlier, it was opening with AutoCAD 2013.
We have checked on AutoCAD knowledge site to get info of supported file formats; it was listed but we are facing issue while opening it.
We are using the AutoCAD 2016 Version 20.1.49.0 and also PFA the attached error snap and one sample .dwf file.
Please help and suggest to resolve the same.
Thanks & Regards,
INFODBA

Hi,
welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!
>> Earlier, it was opening with AutoCAD 2013.
DWF files can't be opened with AutoCAD, not in current version of AutoCAD, not in 2013 or any other release.
The only thing you can do is to attach the DWF file using command _DWFATTACH (>>>details<<<).
>> We are using the AutoCAD 2016 Version 20.1.49.0
Besides of everything else: you should install the current service packs.

Hi INFODBA-NASIK,
The other responses are correct in that you can not "OPEN" a DWF within AutoCAD. You can use DWFattach and the file is treated as if it were an external reference.
