Autocad 2014 Takes up to 3mins to load and then freezes for a bit when it starts

Hello all,

We've been running this version of AutoforCAD 2 years now and without any fault. We've been trying to expand and as such we've made domain added our computers to it. Now AutoCAD hangs up on checking the license and freezes for 3 minutes after it finishes loading. When we remove the computer from the domain or login locally it boots up just fine, but it still sometimes freezes after loading.

Is there something on the server that needs to be looked at?

Your AutoCAD session is still looking for content at the old location, not the new domain.

As a test, log-in as a new never-been-on-the-PC user with full admin and see if AutoCAD still hangs.

I created a brand-new account and used it to logon and run AutoCAD but it still hung-up at checking license but it didn't freeze after it finished loading so that's a start. Is there anything I can do make it so it doesn't freeze on the other machines?

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

It is possible that your licensing is corrupt or that your anti-virus solution is interfering. Please check the details in this article and post back with your results.

I would also be interesting to see if this behavior changes while performing a Diagnostic Startup.
