I have lost the command line for ortho, osnap, grid ect. how can I get it back, this is on autocad 2002

The area of the AutoCAD window that you describe is called the "Status Bar" (OSNAP, ORTHO, SNAP, GRID...)

 

To turn this on you can use the command STATUSBAR <enter> and set it to 1 <enter>

This is a system variable with other options shown below: (Note: this snap shot was taken from ACAD 2013)

 

PS - CTRL + 9 toggles on/off the command line

Even for 2008, STATUSBAR is unknown command

Ok - Thanks for the heads up on that one Patchy since I don't have an earlier version.

 

How about FULLSCREENON or FULLSCREENOPTIONS for these earlier versions?

Unknown command for both.

Probably this 2002 needs to restart or reinstall or maybe it's running on wrong windows platform.
