Attribute Definition will not display

On one pc with acade, attribute definitions will not display. If I use QSELECT, only the insertion points will highlight as shown below. On another pc with just acad, the attdef's display. I can't figure out what setting is different. All my searches haven't turned up any info. Any ideas?

Hi,

1. You talking about attributes or attributdefinitions?

2. Tested with the same file, yes?

1. Yes, ATTDEF's. The references display when filled. The only var I could find for att dislplay is ATTDISP but that only condtrols att reference display.

2. Yes, same file acade 2023 vs acad 2023.

All I know would be the same for both versions (all settings I think about are saved inside the file - so they can not be the issue)

- Layer

- Annotation scale (if they set as annotation)

- Hide Attributes (features of ACADE)

all saved inside the file 😞

Is it the same for NEW attdefs in this file=

Is it the same in another (new) file with new attdefs?

I will spend some minutes more on google for you.

Yes, in any dwg. It has to be an app sysvar, not a dwg sysvar. I used SYSVDLG to save the settings from both apps and compared them using diffchecker. I can't find any settings that were different from each other which would control it. What ever it is, it seems to be undocumented.

SYSVDLG (from Expresstools) is for plain AutoCAD(a static list of sysvars), so it will only show AutoCAD settings, but issue it not related to an AutoCAD-setting.

Is it a usual font like Arial or TXT?

Attdef tag and default value without special characters?

If you know how to, did you tried a reset for Electrical?

What is are your productversions (screenshot ABOUT dialog, so we can test it with the same on our side)

Using acade 2023.1.2

Just tried it with a new install of plain acad on the same pc. It can't view attdef's either. But my home laptop can. So it's something with this pc. I also tried turning of hardware acceleration, but it didn't help.

I found the problem. It was a 3rd party plugin (I'd rather not say which one. 😃)
