Annotative blocks not showing in viewport

I am having a problem where my room names(annotative block) does not show up in paper space on my current drawing.

If I go back to my previous version, it shows up. I can not find any differences between the blocks, the viewport or the layers.

Strange thing is, if I copy the block from my previous database to my current database, it shows up in the veiwport. Also if I explode the current block in the current database it shows up in the viewport. Any suggestions? I did attach a snapshot to hopefully make things more clear.

Thank you,

Penny

Hi,

i suggest to check your layers status from the VP itself and see if any turned off layers or kind off ( check VP tabs ) . if not fixed please attache here your dwg for testing.

What versions are you using (past / present)?  Can you post a copy of your drawing here? Or at least a sample of what is happening.

Autocad 2016. There was a pdf attached to try to depict the problem.

The room on the left is paper space showing room name non existent, middle is a room name from the 2/6 save, copied into model space, it shows up in paper space, the right most is the exploded block from my 2/7 save, it shows up in paper space exploded but did not before that.

Thanks,

Penny

I see what is going on - I was hoping to get a copy of the file to test drive it on my system. It might be something system specific or something that can be figured out by digging into the file.

That was the first thing I looked at... but I did check again just in case. It also doesn't explain why, when I copy the block from the previous day it shows up just fine. I think it has to be something with the block because there are 17 pages of floorplans (9 buildings) and not one shows the room names on the 2/7 save. The 2/6 save is fine. Has to be something simple that got changed on the block properties.. I just can't see any differences.

Thank you,

Penny

It's a very large file. I'll see if I can pare it down a bit. Just don't get why one day it was fine and the next not.

Thanks

I've seen THIS before!! Just unlock the viewport - change the scale - then change it back. The viewport was created by using a ZOOM XP command - not "quite" the same as using the scale option.

That was it! Thank you, it was driving me crazy..... my sidekick actually did it and he was stumped too.

Still don't get why the original was ok. But I can live with that.

Thanks again,

Penny

Thanks so much!  I did a lot of searching before landing on your solution.  I now see where the ps scale of the viewport (.178538) where I imported the annotative block is different from the ps viewport (.179964) where the block will not display.
