Annotative Block Issues

Hi all, I posted this to the dynamic block forum and wanted to post here as well

So I have a question and its a little confusing to explain so bear with me.

I created a bunch of blocks for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical drawings, like valves, drains, and electrical symbols.

My issue is that I made the blocks annotative so when I change my drawing scale using a lisp routine to 1/4"=1'-0" or 1/8"=1'-0" they wold scale to be the correct size. This works great, but.... my question, when I draw a plumbing diagram at 1/4"=1'-0" but want to make a detail view port on the same layout tab that is 1/2"=1'-0" so that I can zoom in to a portion of my drawing, my blocks change size to the new scale because they are annotative. How can I keep my blocks annotative so they are correct size when putting into the drawing, but lock the size once they are put in so that if I alter the view port size the blocks do not re-scale?

We do a lot of different drawings sizes with different scales that need to be accurate on construction drawings so I need a way for the blocks to remain annotative when inserting into the drawing so they can be visible If there is 100' of piping, but not change size if I alter the view port scale when trying to zoom into a section. Is this possible?

Is there a way to "lock the annotation scale" so when i choose the view port scale by using the button on the bottom right corner it only changes the standard scale and not the annotation scale. Basically so I do not have to open properties to change only the standard scale?

Hi

No but you can Keep this  ANNOAUTOSCALE icon off.

anno.JPG

it will help you to stop adding new scale to annotations .

and the  annotations will stay at same scale which you set .

also u can lock  display  scale.

it can help u also.
