Adding icons to the command icon selection

Just curious if it is possible to insert new icons into the selection Autocad already offers.

I am looking to take many of the Advance Steel commands I use and create some customized buttons on toolbars/ribbons.

any help is greatly appreciated.

No.

I have the toolbar creation down.  I am looking to use icons that are not included in Autocad by adding them to the ones that are.

For instance, if i wanted to make a command that saved to a specific filetype, and there was not an icon that i liked in the library, i could import this new icon that was more to my needs and use it instead.

you can create custom ones and just browse to the pictures location by clicking on the "..." button in the CUI

If you get to the point of wanting to do such a thing, i beliueve you can pack them into a file as well. http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-electrical-general/icon-menu-resource-dll/td-p/2764888
