I'm using Randy Shih's textbook to learn how to render. The book is based on ACAD 2023.
At the command prompt, I typed "background" and I got this:
Whereas the textbook (and ACAD's help file) show this:
How do I get the "Sun & Sky" option?

This is NOT plain AutoCAD, the software you say you are using (and the topic of this forum)
Did you buy the wrong book, or did you forget to install the correct software?
OR do you need to change your workspace first:
I'm running plain AutoCAD 2024 and in Drafting & Annotation workspace but the Background command does show Sun & Sky. I've ran this command on 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023 & Sun & Sky shows up on all versions.
Perhaps your installation is not complete or do you have the latest version of 2024 intalled?
