we all know that when Mbutton set to 1, we can use mouse wheel button(button 3) to pan move, and if we hold the ctrl key at the same time, we get alternative pan, something like this
the thing is, in cui, we can define a mapping for ctrl+ mouse wheel button(button 3), but this mapping is overrided by alternative pan.
of course, we can set the mbutton to 0, but in that case ,we will lose the pan function, not good.
is there a way to modify this setting ,which modify or delete the setting of ctrl+wheel button to alternative pan.
many thanks.

Maybe it is not your CUI but the Options you have in Selections.
I will paste what I use with my 3 button Mouse (actually 5 but never use side buttons).
Maybe this will help.
Hope this helps!

thanks for your reply.
it is a legecy device that i am now using. the problem for me now is the ctrl+button 3 is taken by the AUTOCAD default setting, so that i cannot reuse it for another command, which bothers me a lot, because the command that take the hotkeys is basically useless to me, so i'm thinking maybe is there a way to modify or delete it.
maybe it is a windows default setting, because it looks the same on other applications too, like excel, pdf
this is what the curser will look like once you press ctrl+mouse middle key
hi thanks for your reply
my problem now is that i cannot set a command for a keyboard and mouse hotkeys which is ctrl+mouse moddle button click, it is taken by another system pre-set command, once the keys are pressed, it wiil look like this:
do you have any idea that how to solve this.
I did a few searches for you that you can look at the many different short cuts that are built into AutoCAD.
I am also including a link to show you how to change these short cuts.
You may be able to search these for the buttons you are using and change that to the command you want.
Link to all Short Cuts: AutoCAD Keyboard Commands & Shortcuts Guide | Autodesk
Link to Customize Short Cuts: To Customize Shortcut Keys | AutoCAD LT 2020 | Autodesk Knowledge Network
Hope this helps.
