i downloaded and installed the update for Autocad 2017 but nothing seems to change and i cant see the orange highlights showing the new settings. its like nothing happened. and i still have the same problems with the resolution.
i have a lenovo Yoga, 7th gen I7, Nvidia geforce 940mx, 16 gb of ram. All the system requirements are ok as far as i can tell.
i don't really know what else to do.

Have you checked to make sure the 2017.1 update is actually installed?
Run the ABOUT command.

Hi @Anonymous,
I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!
It sounds like you have installed the service pack but not the update. If you see the update in your program list, try uninstalling an reinstalling to see if it fixes the problem.

thank you but autodesk app says there are no updates to download. if i unistall, the only one that comes up is the service pack.
where is the link to the update? if that is the case, because i dont know what i am installing if it's not the update.

Hi @Anonymous,
If you are a subscription customer you should find not only Service Pack 1 but also Update 1 and Update 1.1 available in both your Autodesk Desktop App and in your Account page.
Educational licenses will eventually also be entitled to the updates. I am uncertain as to when this will be enabled however.

I'm confused now, because OP said that he/she does have the update. See post 3.

Hi @rkmcswain,
I am not convinced that the Update was applied but only the service pack. There seems to be a lot of confusion with the new naming process. I hope that it gets easier.

Fair enough, but that is why I provided a screenshot so that there would be no guessing.
If you follow the numbers (1) (2) (3) in the screenshot below, OP agrees that the update IS installed.
