3D view rotate in zoom flickers and resets (Acad 2017)

I'm in 3D and was having a major hard time getting pick points recognized so I turned all of the choices on to increase my odds. Not a good move.

Now I'm zooming in real tight to find all the line connections that pick points missed miserably while I was drawing. Half of them are not connected. Didn't find them till I went to dimension. Now I have to fix them.

The problem: When I zoom in really tight and I rotate to view the bad line connections .... the screen flickers fast and then zooms to la la land. It's also causing a refresh requirement to zoom back out.

The hardware I'm using is not the problem.  Is there a setting I can use to get this to stop and also stop the refresh requirement?

Thanks in advance for any help.

PS Rant (don't read this): This software ain't my dream date choice lately. I've been using Autocad 2D since Jesus was a private citizen. And I'm new to the 3D. Done some playing with personal projects but never for work. But I'm going to be honest with you guys  ..... this software went from my savior in 1990 to total bells and whistles garbage that now takes space age technology hardware to run it. It may be my old man cranky comment but even navigating simple line building in 3D is ridiculously complicated for such a minor drafting task.

I'm, curious ... who's idea was it to have the user drag that UCS around with you all day long like a misbehaving puppy on leash?

Thank you for using the AutoCAD forums, my name is Josue and I will be helping you with your request.

To assist you properly, please specify which version of AutoCAD you are using and the operative system as well (Windows, Mac)

Maybe the screen resolution is too high, or the graphic card drivers need to be updated?

If possible, please upload a .NFO file to check those settings. You can check for more information about how to create the .NFO file on the following link (Windows users only)

How to obtain a System Information file (NFO) for diagnostics and troubleshooting

I will wait for your reply and the ,NFO to assist you properly.

Sorry for the delayed response.

Drivers, resolution, and hardware are fine. As soon as I removed the point cloud from my drawing it stopped. Can't understand why it would be a problem? I have 32 G ram and an Nvidia Quadro M400 video card?

Maybe it's the 10 instances of the Acwebowser.exe host executable's running in my processes using 500mb?

Thanks
