2025 - Cannot REMOVE objects from selection set with crossing window anymore

When I do anything, such as DELETE, STRECH, COPY, EXPLODE, etc....  I do a crossing window then I want to remove objects.  In the past, I would hold SHIFT and I could select objects with direct select or a crossing window and it would remove those objects.

This no longer works.  I have to type "R" to invoke "Remove Objects" and then individually select each element.

This happens in all my files, it is not tied to a specific file.

I tried changing the PICKADD variable, but it didn't make a difference.

I have reset AutoCAD, I have reset the Computer.  Nothing seems to work.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Is this a problem for ALL of your files, or just this one?

You can also hold SHIFT key down and Window or pick what you want to "deselect".

Your ABOUT command inside AutoCAD needs to show you to have 2025.1.2 version, can you check?

SHIFT + Click does not work at all anymore for select, lasso or crossing window.

Current version is 2025.1.2.

That talks about CIVIL3D. I am in vanilla AutoCAD 2025

This was the issue.  Thanks @paullimapa for directing me to that post.
