10 property limit in AutoCAD Propulate

Is there any way around the limitation of copying only 10 custom properties?

I am not aware of any way to add additional numbers of custom properties inside of Propulate. 

You might need to hunt down another utility.

A user can create as many custom properties as they want without using another utility, and a template can be saved from that, but only 10 custom properties can be copied from a template using PROPULATE. The limit seems odd...

In the earliest implementations of the DWGPROPS dialog the custom properties were limited to 10 as well.  When PROPULATE was created it was following the established standard at the time.

If you were to consider third party software, email me at dotson [at] dotsoft [dot] com, I'm sure we can produce what you need if we don't have it already.

Of course it is. The feature is working as designed but if you want additional functionality, then a 3rd party utility is one solution.

Which 3rd party tool did you find to transfer more than 10 custom properties?

I didn't look for or use one. I worked within what was available in Auto. Feels like ages ago 😆 Good luck my dude 🤙

A possible solution would be to use the VLISP/Activex dictionary functions vlax-ldata-put and vlax-ldata-get, etc.. They function in the same manner, but without a UI. The only limitation is your system resources.

I have not had a chance to get back into detail to review that suggestion to know if it is the solution or not.  Maybe when I get some more time to come back to this to resolve I will know for sure.
