Guys, facing a problem with the viewport scale. 1/4" - 1' is showing a view much more zoomed out than it should. Please advise. Attached FYR an image.

See your other post https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-forum/viewport-scale-error/m-p/8982526#M35878

Or are you two taking the same class at school and you are being set up by your teacher?

Hi,

Do you see "IMPORTANT:..." note under viewport?
If model space units are imperial and sheet size is metric, you cannot use imperial scales to scale viewport - the result will be 25.4 times smaller than you expect.

Hello @maxim_k , Attached a reference of the current Drawing units, ANSI B Page set up and Viewport scale Imperial scale list. INSU Units are set to 1-Inches and -DWG Units are also set to 1-Inches. Is there something i am missing?

On the Viewport scale list for the 1/4" : 1' scale as an example Paper Units are 0.25 and  Drawing Units are 12. Thats is correct or maybe there is something in the ratio there ?

The message below the page serves as a general reminder to check these settings alternating from imperial to metric, Thank you for the notice.

I found what may be the cause, i have set the paper size in the page setup manager to ARCH D ( 36 by 24" ). Now when a draw a 35" line next to the paper sheet in paper space the 36" line is a lot shorter than the height of the paper sheet in paper space.

Ref. Screencast. Any clues as to what may be causing this !?

In Page Setup you should use 1:1 scale:

and 1 inch should be equal to 1 unit, but not 25.4 units as you showed in one of your screenshots.

Thank you @pendean, you were on to it instantly. With your direction and @maxim_k 's walkthrough i was able to correct the file. The other post was by a colleague who was trying to resolve the issue as well apparently and had posted to the forum.
