Save Issues in AutoCAD for Mac

My ACAD LT will not "Save As" to specified folder in "Documents". It will only Save As to my Desktop? Not sure what the issue is (Is it bc I'm working in the "free" trial period?) I've already re-installed software, careful to follow all download instructions. I am able to Save As to my Desktop though? Anyone else had this issue? I'm using Mac OS Mojave on a 2018 MacBook Pro.

Hi,
You are not able to save to specific folder inside Documents folder or to any folder inside Documents folder?
If the first - then this could be permissions problem, if the second - verify the name of the folde you are not able to save drawings to.
And please specify AutoCAD LT version you are using.

What do you see, when you are trying to save drawing to the folder inside Documents folder?
An alert from AutoCAD?

I am having the same issues. Using AutoCAD2019 on MacOS.

When I click Save As the dialog box disappears and reappears. I keep clicking Save As and it doesn't save.... unless I save to the Desktop...

What macOS version installed on your Mac?
If it is macOS Catalina (10.15) - have you installed >>>>this<<< Update?

I'm running Mojave
My AutoCAD is "Up to date"!

So there could be some permission issues.
Do you have this issue from the very beginning?
If it starts suddenly - have you tried to Reset AutoCAD?

I'm having the same issue with my Autocad version 2018. I'm using macOS mojave. I have trie the methods above. No luck.

Can you save your drawings to some folder on your Mac? Or you can't save them at all?

Yes I can. But not to a folder where the same drawing exists. If i want to
change the name and save it to the same folder its not possible.

What if you change name and try save to another folder?

The dialogue box keeps reappearing to select a folder in which I need to
save.

@Anonymous Can I impose on you to show us screenshots of that pop-up message, as well as the location of your files in Finder?

Can you copy or add files to that folder in Finder by chance?
Where are you saving the file? Somewhere in your home folder, or outside your home folder? If it is in your home folder, you seem to have some permission problems on your home or that folder.

In Finder, open the folder where you are trying to save the file and Get Info (cmd-I). What does it show for the permissions at the bottom of the window?

The permissions given are for reading and writing but unable to make the
necessary changes.
