Problem with the letter s

I have a problem with the letter "S" , Whenever I type it the following letter types directly over it!

Have you ever seen this?  see attached drawing (inside white box)

Started this morning!

no issue opening this dwg on Windows version of AutoCAD...have you tried shutting down your Mac and starting it up again?
