Problem when importing a block in a current drawing

Hello everyone,

I am working on an interior master plan in CAD LT 2022 and when I click in my block library to import a block, the block becomes a Xref... I tried dragging the block in my drawing from the source folder but the same thing happens.  I don't understand why it worked so well before that and now I can't import it properly. I can however import other blocks in the drawing without a problem. Can anyone help? Thank you!

Hi @alabrk ,

What do you see in the Command history, when you insert this block?

Can you share this drawing (block) from your Blocks library?

Enlarge our commandline for now to be many lines taller, try it again, and see what is AutoCAD reporting/doing in more detail, then share that info here with us please

For some reason, when I open the drawing with the block, it imports it like a simple dwg drawing and none of the attributes or parameters are applied... For now, I drew a new block with the parameters and attributes I needed but I don't understand how the file ended up "exploding" the block...

Hi @alabrk ,

I'm able to insert your drawing from Blocks Palette and everything works out as it should.

The drawing you attached - BULLE DE REFERENCE.dwg contains authoring elements and when you open it in full AutoCAD version, AutoCAD gives an alert:

So if you select Yes, it opens in Block Editor.

The file you posted is the actual dynamic block, yes?
It works fine when I insert it in the many ways AutOCAD2022 allows as well, it never changes to an XREF.

Your expanded commandline is not indicating anything about an XREF: how are you getting that information?
Could the real problem be your file already contained a block with the same exact name, but it is NOT a dynamic block, and you assumed without confirmation that it is an XREF (when it is just a regular block insert)?

THat's what I am seeing in your screenshots so far.
