problem export pdf

hello everyone.

I'm having problems exporting my dwg to a pdf in autocad 2014 (Mavericks).

The dwg seems pretty good, but as soon as I export it lots of fillet lines and arcs in general (but even straight lines, sometimes) are not joined or messy.

here you are some examples of what I mean:

the draw is in 1:1 (meters) and I need to export in 1:5000

In AutoCAD for Mac version you can not set resolution for vectors for PDF output as you can do in PC version of AutoCAD and as was advised here:

BUT!

You can use one simple trick to get output even better than on PC.

Here it is:

Create huge Custom paper size (in your file I used paper size 2100 cm x 2970 cm, save PDF from your drawing with scale 10:1 (or 1:0.1),

than open it in Preview.app (Adobe Reader can not handle such huge PDF files), then start Print it to A2 paper size with scale 2%, and select Open PDF in Preview - now you have your PDF in A2 size at 1:5000 scale (see attached)

The quality of the PDF is good.

I keep doing something wrong.

When I do the scale 1:10 (1:17 of the video) my draw becomes super-tiny. and I tried to export it like that, but it's super f-up.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Ben,

The scale for viewport on the video is 10:1, but not 1:10 or 1:17.
You need to set scale to 10:1

I attached your DWG with Viewport of desired scale in Layout1.

You need to have Custom paper size with name "Huge A2"  (2100cm x 2970cm with 0 cm margins) in order to be able to save to PDF this layout.

Is your problem solved?

That is because you scale down everything in Model space by 500 times for some reason.

I scaled your Model space by 500 times and everything is OK now.

when I was looking at your drawing for the first time (the file from your first post here) everything was 500 times bigger in size in Model space, so I advised such scale as 10:1.

You don't need to touch geometry in your drawing - it should be in your usual scale: 1 AutoCAD unit = 1 meter, as it was in your first drawing.
You only need to change viewport scale in Layout an set it to 10:1 for the paper size I have suggested you.
