How Do I Get Hatches to Display At Thin Lineweights?

Anonymous

Hello.

I am trying to make hatches appear at the slimmest possible lineweight and have set the hatch layer to 0.00 mm; the majority of my other lineweights are set to 0.18 mm. When I draw lines at 0.00 mm, they appear quite thin on the printed drawing, but hatches appear quite thick (pretty much the same as the lines drawn at 0.18 mm).

Is there any way for me to print lineweights such that they appear almost imperceptibly thin, as the lines drawn at the same lineweight do?

Hi Arya,

There is no difference between hatch lines and regular lines objects, so if hatch is created on the layer with line weight set "ByLayer", it should take line weight property from the layer.
Do you use Plot Style table when you print? If yes, please verify that the color of the hatch you are using doesn't have special lуneveight assigned in the Plot Style table file.
If you want, you can attach your sample drawing (or part of it with hatches and lines) here, I'll look at it.

HI @Anonymous,

I agree with @maxim_k that this might be a Plot Style issue.  Can you use package to attach a sample file with the plot style you use?

Hi @Anonymous,

Are you still having problems with your hatches?  Perhaps I misread your original question.  DO the hatches plot properly but not display properly?  In your page setup do you have 'Display plot styles' selected? Does toggling that off make a difference in your display?

Please let me know the  status of your problem and if you can share a sample drawing file that would be a great help.
