I'm having an issue with dynamic input and stretch grip.
As an example if I want to draw a rectangle and I get my x dimension from something already drawn - a wall thickness for example - I hover the cursor over the x dimension and the 'grip' happens which locks me onto that x dim - if I then want to input the y coordinate I press the tab key to change the input from x to y but by doing that I lose the grip lock on the x dim - its really frustrating. In previous versions I have been able to hover on the x coordinate and lock it in then just input the y coordinate without even pressing the tab key - it was so brilliant. But now I can't figure out what I need to do to get this back in 2023 LT for Mac.
Any help greatly appreciated

Hi @neillyditt ,
Do you use Object Snap tracking?
>>>>>I hover the cursor over the x dimension and the 'grip' happens which locks me onto that x dim
Can you illustrate somehow what happens?
Maybe screen recording?
Hi.
I have attached a quick video - Very quick to keep the file size down - hopefully this demonstrates my issue
I checked in 2023 version and the behavior is the same.
If you want to use Object snap tracking for Y coordinate, you have to switch off Osnap before you hit TAB key:
1/ Enable Object snap tracking
2/ Start RECTANG command and pick the first corner using Object Snap
3/ Hover over the second reference point to start tracking, move mouse in the direction you want to pick the second corner
4/ Turn off OSNAP (F3 or Fn+F3)
5/ Use TAB key to switch to the other side dimension (Y coordinate), type the Y value
6/ Hit Return to complete RECTANG command
