Drawing Units - Base Angle Directions Not Changing

Anonymous
Not applicable

When attempting to rotate the Base Angle Directions to have angles reference from North rather than East, the change appears to not take effect.  For example I would like for a line with a bearing of N 26d 33' 54" W to be 26d 33' 54" West of North rather than East.  Any advise would be appreciated!

Here is a screencast describing the issue: https://youtu.be/cCy9Dp1fOdc

Hello @Anonymous,

Try adjusting your UCS to World. Take a look at the UCS functions it maybe more what you are trying to accomplish.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Jack,

Dynamic input angle always tied to X direction of current UCS, that is why you don't see any difference in angle direction. You can change this by unchecking "Enable dimension input where possible" in Dynamic input settings, then the angle will count from the direction you specified in "Drawing units" dialog:

If you still want to use dimension input, then check "Enable dimension input where possible" back again and change X direction (create new UCS) as @natasha.l suggested.
