Drawing properties

Hello,

I can't find the command for drawing properties and can't find this anywhere in the window.

The command for windows is 'dwgprops' but this isn't the case for mac.

Can you please tell me what the command is for drawing properties on a mac device?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Mattias,

DWGPROPS command is not available in autoCAD for Mac, so that is why you cannot use it.

Is there maybe a reason they left it out?

That is a question to developers. You can leave your feedback here:

On this page here where they are describing the FIELDS command for AutoCAD for MAC https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/getting-started/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2018...

They clearly refer to the 'Drawing Properties' dialog to set the name of the author.

How can it that Drawing Properties is not available but is mentioned in Autodesks explanations?

On the page you referred is written:
"A field for which no value is available displays hyphens (----). For example, the Author field, which is set in the Drawing Properties dialog, may be blank."
Which means that if the information (Author field in the drawing properties in this case) is not available, it will be displayed as hyphens.
There is not a word about setting Author property in Drawing Property dialog on Mac. Isn't it?

Your link is from HELP in AutoCAD for MAC: what does that same HELP for MAC say when you search for DWGPROPS and for DRAWING PROPERTIES by chance?

Actually it says here:

Get Information from Drawings

Information About the Drawing
To see... Use...
File properties of the current drawing DWGPROPS
General drawing settings, including total number of objects STATUS
Amount of time spent in the current drawing file TIME
Whether the drawing was saved with or references data from an Educational License product EDUCATIONALDWG

As it is incorrect information, one can leave feedback as I did:
