Draw Order in a block definition is not maintained when inserting

Hi,

I am using AUCAD LT 2021 for MAC and from a few days I have been having an issue with the hatches order. I tried different times to copy a block and paste it in a different drawing and the hatches order is not kept as in the original drawing. The same issue with a simple polyline with an hatch in (no block).

I tried all the options with the DRAWORDERCTL system variable but without success.

Is there any other system variable/ setting that I am not aware of?

Hi,

One thing you can check is, if both drawings are using 2dwireframe visual styles.

Hi @stefanoSVUC4 ,

Can you share sample block with incorrect draw order?

Please describe also which objects should be in the front and which should be behind.

Hi guys,

thanks for your prompt reply. @Anonymous the 2dwireframe visual style is identical in both.

@Anonymous please find attached a simple file with a block. In the original drawing the hatches were under  the lines. In the new one, where I pasted the block, the hatches  are above.

>>>>>In the original drawing the hatches were under  the lines

But there is no lines inside this block - only different type of hatches:

Plus, I tried to reproduce on my side and cannot - solid hatch is always on the bottom when I paste block to new drawing or insert it from Recent tab 9Blocks palette).

Thanks Maxim for checking. I meant the circle when I wrote 'lines'.

Re. your second point, it might be a setting/variable of my software (that is is probably different from yours) and not a property of the file.  Thank you anyway.

But the circle is away from solid hatch in your block:

and the circle will always be visible.

Or I'm missing something....

You can check these system variables:
SORTENTS - should be 127 by default
HPDRAWORDER - should be 3

Hi maxim,

I tried the variables that you told me. They had already those values on my Autocad.

The block that I have shared is just an example, I have the same issue with all the blocks. Really weird.

Hi Stefano,

Can you screencast what you see when you copy and paste a block or hatch polyline?

As you can see all the lines are covered by the hatches.

Are these pictures taken from PDF files?
Do you use transparency in hatches?

The screenshots are taken from the layouts. No transparency, only a couple of SOLID and ANSI31 hatches on each block.

Stefano,
Activate each viewport and use -SHADEMODE command:
http://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDLTM/2021/ENU/?guid=GUID-A39F669D-DD11-46DD-BD20-7C41F2FF5326
to set 2D Wireframe visual style current.
Test draw order now.

Block itself doesn't make sense, I need viewports from your drawing.
You can erase all contents from the drawing and send it to my mail:

Hi Stefano,

I received your drawing and tested it.

I cannot reproduce the issue with draw order on my side.

Can you create screen recording of your workflow?

You can use Autodesk screencast or Quick Time Player app to record your screen.

BTW, I noticed incorrect Snap settings In the Layout in your drawing (I hope draw order problem is not related to them):

2021-06-22_23-41-25.png

Snap spacing couldn't be 0, only positive numbers allowed. Don't know really how you set them to zero.
