Cannot draw with dimension in feet

 Hello,

I recently (in the last few weeks) started having trouble drawing any line or shapes (circle, rectangle) by typing the dimension in "feet."  It still allows me to draw with dimensions in inches.  This was not a problem before.

Could you please help me resolve this as it is not convenient to work otherwise.

Thanks!

Hi @seyie

I'd like to get a bit more information from you if possible;

  • What AutoCAD release are you working in?
  • Have you applied all updates (if applicable) ?
  • What version of MAC OS are you running?
  • Does this happen with all files or only specific few?

You could try;

  • Logging in as a different user on your system. Open AutoCAD and see if the issue still occurs in that environment.

Let me know if you have any questions for me.

Hi,

Have you tried to set current units to Architectural or Engineering using menu Format -> Units?

To add to this thread;

You can also look to the following links for help on changing or specifying which units of measure you are in.

Or if that does not work I would suggest resetting your settings to default and then testing your files once more.
