Can't switch between layers

Hello,

I can't seem to switch between layers. It keep staying on the same layer and when I try to PDF, although I will see the plans on Layout, I won't see it on the PDF after printing.

I hope I explained myself right.

What do you mean:
- you cannot change objects layer?
- you cannot change current layer?

please verify that the layer you cannot see in PDF is not set as "not to print" in the Layers palette.
