Batch Publish Plot Problem

When I do a batch publish, the preview shows all lines correctly from an xref in the drawing, but the pdf does not print those lines. It worked previously, but not anymore. Any ideas?

HI @Anonymous,

I am glad that you are jumping into the thread!

Is it possible to etransmit (Package) your project and either attach it to a post or email to me at john.vellek@autodesk.com if it needs to be private.

I would like to see if I can explore this issue to determine what might be going on.  Are all the files stored locally, in a single folder, or multiple folders? I am curious about how your computing environment is set up.

Hi @Anonymous,

I tried to make my own set of drawings with nested Xrefs including a PNG attachment. When I ran Publish everything plotted correctly.  If you would like me to investigate your project files, please eTranmsit(Package) and attach to a post or send them to me at john.vellek@autodesk.com. Please make sure to include your plot style if any.

HI @Anonymous,

We had taken your issue offline for a bit.  I found that when I verified all the xrefs to be mapped (so that they could be found, although I admit that I missed one, that they did show yup in the PDF.  You indicated that normally you work with Google File Stream.  I have seen many such issues with that service and to resolve  them you would have to visit their support pages.

Although, you did indicate you tried it locally.  You told me your OS is High Sierra 10.12.6 but that is actually Sierra.  Is it possible for you to move to High Sierra 10.13.3 to see if your errors persist?

Another test is to move all the files to one folder instead of subfolders to see if that makes a difference.  I suggest that you place this folder on your desktop for testing. In one of your emails, I believe you also mentioned that you were using a PC3 from Windows and perhaps a CTB and well. Can we remove those from this test and see if that also improves this behavior?

Hey everyone!

After a long while suffering from this bug, clearly a bug, I just happened to find a fast solution: if I save right before publishing, it publishes fine. If I change a single layer visibility o zoom in, it publishes without nested xref's. So I save again, and it publishes fine again.

It will save us a lot of headaches.

Actually we no longer work with File Stream, and this had been happening to us in completely different projects, different operating systems, in both AutoCAD 2017 and 2018.

Cheers!

I just tried saving before batch publishing and that worked! Thanks,

HI @Anonymous,

This does sound like a bug of some sort.  Can you send me a sample project set again?  I would like to get it to the Dev team for them to examine.  You can send privately to john.vellek@autodesk.com.
