Autocad LT For Mac - Publishing to PDF without file name

Hi folks

I'm using ACAD LT for MAC and would like to batch publish sheets to PDF without the file name included

I have had a look around but can't see a setting or work around out there to solve this issue on this particular platform

Many thanks

Hi Ian,

If you uncheck "Single PDF with multiple sheets" option in Batch Publish window:2018-12-12_06-54-20.png

AutoCAD will not ask you for file names for PDFs included in Batch Publish. To be sure that PDFs will go to necessary location, you need to set it after you add Layouts to Batch Publish list.

Hi Maxim, thanks for the reply

I use the single PDF option, but what I am asking is there a way to automatically generate the PDF file name without the name of the cad file prepended to it with the hyphen

for example:-

cad file name “house”

sheet name “01 plan”

file generated is “house-01 plan”

i would like just “01 plan”

Could be possible in full AutoCAD version (but not in LT) with AutoLISP routine.
As an alternative you can always rename PDF files in Finder by removing prefix (DWG name).

Hi Maxim

I thought as much, most annoying as I have literally hundreds of drawings to produce and the dochosting system the client uses won’t accept hyphens in inappropriate places 😞

Thanks anyway

Hi Ian,

Are you still there?
Looks like I figured out how to solve your problem. You need to use Project Manager to batch publish drawings, then DWG name prefix will be omitted from PDF file name.

Hi Maxim

You, sir, are an absolute star !!

I have just played around with it and it works flawlessly, now just have to learn how to refine it and incorporate into my flow

Thanks again

You can add your drawings to new Project and then in Project Manager:
