Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Andi,

Can you provide more details about slow performance. I think that the issue could be in your project drawings, because I'm also using 2019 version and don't have troubles with performance.
Does your drawings have a lot of hatches? Or maybe parametric constraints? How complex are them?

I dont think so, it's relative on my projects, I got the file project from another source (not autocad student version). But, that's not the main problem. My problem is even I opened the application, it so took more time to load. Opened a project, it also took more time to load, Everything that I controlled with the input operation, it always got loaded. I dont know what is the real trouble of my autocad. I have reinstalled it many times, but the problem still showed up. Enclosed picture shows the loading time when i try to open a project and everything that i want to controlled it has to long load firstly.

Does this happens with all drawings? Even with newly created with just a pair of lines?
Can you share one your problem drawings here? Or you can send it to my email - mkanaev@yandex.ru

Hi,

I have the same problem, first with AutoCAD MAC 2018 (student version), after I installed Autocad MAC 2019 with the latest Update, the same problem...

I called the apple service and we made a full review of all the system, everything was OK...

I would appreciate your help, thanks.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Martin,

The topic is rather old and you wrote:

Can you describe in more details what kind of problem do you have?
Please specify also your Mac model and macOS version installed on your Mac.

Hi Maxim,

MacBook Air 13” , from the beggining of 2015.

2,2 GHz Intel core i7

8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB

macOS Mojave 10.14.6

Autocad opens all files without problem, but with those with more than 20 megabytes, it starts to work slowly. After working a few hours, it blocks the entire computer having to restart the

Thanks for your help.

Such a huge files!
Do you do 3D design?
In my practice, when I create 2D drawings, they never grow larger than 7-9 gigabytes, more often their size is about 3-5 gigabytes (for very complex drawings).
If you draw in 2D, believe me, that is not a good idea to have everything related to current project in one drawing. If you need to see everything in one drawing, you always can use for example external references, and never store in the drawing unnecessary data.
The capabilities of computers, even powerful enough, are not unlimited, and you should take this into account.

Hi Maxim,

With High Sierra there wasn’t any problem with this kind of files. Do you mean the only solution is to install  high sierra again? I can't work with smaller files.

The crash happens even with the 3 megas Files.

There aren’t problems using the same files un autocad 2018 un windows in bothcamp.

...

Thanks for your help.

I want to look at one of your drawings which slows down AutoCAD on Mojave.
Can you attach one here? Or you can send it to my email :
