Apple has announced the next OS X El Capitan earlier today, and the first preview version is already available for app developers. AutoCAD team is starting to analyze the compatibility on this OS and preparing to fix the potential issues.

Some of AutoCAD users may have access to the El Capitan preview version, and would like to test AutoCAD on it. Please kindly post any of your findings in this thread, that would help other users and also the AutoCAD team.

Please include the following info in your posts for reference:

-OS X version(for example, DP1 15A178w)

-AutoCAD version

Thanks,
The AutoCAD for Mac Team

Reinstalling it did nothing to fix it - still having the same issues. Hope they fix it soon.

Just to add more wood to the fire...

I too cannot use AutoCAD 2015 for Mac after installing OS X El Capitan.

The app crashes a few seconds after launch and I'm offered to send an error report to Autodesk.

Please fix this ASAP. Meanwhile, I'll switch to my Bootcamp side.

I have got a lot closer to getting it to work, reinstalled after deleting user preferences and it at least runs, just can't alter text.

Just to inform the AutoDesk team that AutoCAD 2015 Mac does not work with the new OSX El Capitan.

As mentioned before AutoCAD quits upon opening a file and prompts a report screen.

Please fix this ASAP I need this for work and cannot have issues...

Mine only crashes with text editing after full clean install of CAD, after my posts on twitter I guess we are in for a long wait to make it work......

I am also experiencing the same issue when editing Text areas.

Had an issue with Font Mapping to some fonts that we preferr to use and it helped a bit with the program not crashing, once the fonts were installed, but still crashes when editing existing text areas and inserting new text.

There also seeme to be an issue when bringing in information from files that are non-dwg native.

Also tried this adjustment:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-general/autocad-2015-for-mac-with-os-x-yosemite-crash/...

and it doesn't seem to help either, as far as I notice.

Seeing as they had months to prepare for AutoCAD to work with the updated IOS, it once again is a huge disappintment. Its not like the new OSX was a surprise to Autodesk.

If you are tired of having the program crash. Use the Mandalore Beta version. I have been working in it for about an hour without any crash issues since the El Capitan update.

Don't forget to use the Serial and Product ID from the download section of the beta test area.

Had a feeling Mandalore would fix the issue.  Probably related to the way Apple changed the DNS part of their networking stack in ElCap.

It's sad to think that this is new low bar set for Autodesk  "we can get the program to sort of work but you just cant use text with AutoCAD". Thanks for your $4200.00

Uh ok....
