Hi Giovanni,
How complex are the drawings you create / edit?
Do you have this problem even with empty, newly created drawings?
Do you use (have) parametric constraints in your drawings? If yes, then try to remove them all and test performance.
What Visual Style you are using in your drawing? If it is other than "2D Wireframe" and you mostly using AutoCAD for 2D drawings, try to change Visual Style to "2D Wireframe" and test the performance.

Please try this:
scutil --set HostName $(scutil --get LocalHostName)
Please let me know if this improves the performance of your AutoCAD session.

Turning off "linesmoothing" did help a lot for me. Are there other tricks like this that I can turn-off? I have a:
2015 iMac Retina
Processor: 4 GHz Intel Core i7
RAM: 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB
With "linesmoothing" on, there was a 1-2 second delay every time I entered a new command, changed the zoom, basically anything.
Thanks, DS
Hi guys!
I do use a brand new MacBook Pro 15inch i7 16GB and I have this strange thingy; when I select all entities in a drawing (86Kb) and try to zoom in, the system delays and the coloured wheel appears for about 4 seconds before zooming in a little.
I did try the linesmoothing trick, but with no result.
Anyone?
Greetings!
Erwin
