ACAD MAC 2015 FONT INSTALLATION TROUBLES

ACAD MAC 2015 FONT INSTALLATION TROUBLES

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have tried installing a .ttf file to my mac, and then made sure it was in the correct folder for AutoCad to access, but it still won't show up! No matter how many different ways I've tried installing, editing, saving, etc - it still won't show up as an option in AutoCad. I'm trying to install Calibri Light.ttf. I've installed to computer then saved to the ttf file in AutoCad 2015-contents- roaming-etc. I've also restarted computer and AutoCad, nothing. I've tried changing the saved font path - nothing.

Hi,

In order to be able to use TTF font in AutoCAD for Mac you need to install it in your system with Font Book application, then it should be available in all applications on your Mac including AutoCAD.

Have you restarted AutoCAD?
Use QUIT command and launch it again.

Finally I figured out your problem. It is similar to this one:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-general/font-weight-variants-autocad-2014/m-p/4873576/...

I attached here Calibri light font, which should work for you.

Hi everybody - I'have probably similar problems with ttf font DIN Next Rounded Pro Light. There's this small yellow triangle...I've already tried everything, restarting Mac, Autocad...nothing worked. Is there any chance you could give me an advise?

I would really appreciate that.

Thanks, Tereza

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,
Do you have this font correctly installed on your Mac?
Can you use it in applications other than AutoCAD?

Hi, yes I can use it in all my Adobe programs and it's even installed in the FontBook. You know what is strange? That Regular and Bold version of DIN works normally.

I think that this is the same issue as described (and solved) here:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-forum/font-weight-variants-autocad-2014/m-p/4873576/hi...

You need to "split" DIN Next Rounded Pro font, than AutoCAD will see it and you will be able to use this font.

How can I change de name of the font. Because when I install the file you've sent here, the name which appears in AutoCAD is "Calibri L", but I need that name "Calibri Light", otherwise the files don't recognize the other files that came from other computers with this font.

Thank you for everything,
Ana Claudia

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please specify your AutoCAD version and macOS version installed on your Mac.

What font are you using in the drawing?

Just tried and cannot reproduce your issue on my side. This font prints correctly to PDF.
What printer are you using?
Do you have this issue wit all drawings with this font?
Can you share your drawing here?

I use to use the plot "dwg to pdf". All the drawings I've tried, I've got the same problem.

I'll send you one of the drawings..

Take a look at the attached PDF.

Does it look correctly? Don't mind the color - I don't have your plot style table CTB file.

I "printed" it on my Mac.
