AutoCAD 2018.1 Update fails when run from terminal

Hello all,

I'm trying to apply the 2018.1 Update for AutoCAD from terminal, with the following command:

sudo installer -pkg AutoCAD_Mac_2018.1_Update_Combo.pkg -target /
MacBookAir5,1 supported
installer: Package name is Autodesk AutoCAD 2018.1 Update
installer: Upgrading at base path /
installer: The upgrade failed (The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)

But it always fails, if I run it from the GUI using the package installer it works fine, and successfully applies it.

I need it to work like this in order to use it in our JAMF server.

I'm attaching both logs, for the failed one, and also for the one that worked (from GUI).

I'm using High Sierra 10.13.6.

Thank you!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Alex,

Sorry, but looks like I cannot give you any advice, maybe someone from the developers could help you.
But I see from the log files that ./postinstall cannot find "The root path of product" (AutoCAD) when you run installer from Terminal.
