Multiple Bus - Different wire colour

Multiple Bus - Different wire colour

In the standard AutoCAD MLine command you can configure each line to be a different style, i.e. colour line type line weight.

i think it wiould make it alot easier if in the Multiple bus dialog box you could specify the type of wire you want for each phase/wire. this would then save on having to modify each wire to be the correct wire type after you have created the Bus.

Thanks

Ian

What they should do make a set of setup rules. so that you can define the colors of the legs based on their designation and their voltage.

That would be useful only if you could also have multiple sets of colours that you can choose between when doing the insert.

For example, I have a 3 phase Bus system that is one layer, several ct's that come of showing the particular Red, White & Blue layers depending on the ct function and sometimes half a dozen or more wires for remote indication which are another layer again.

I use a numbering system that has a specific prefix and number depending on the wires function. This means that I have 7 layers for each phase that are defined by the function of the devices they connect to. This allows me to set the wire numbering by the layer and have it come out mostly correct when run. There will always be those few wires that are out of sequence.

So I would need at least a rule for each function to get the results I wanted.

It would be much better to have the ability to assign layers to particular wires in the multi wire insert using a drop down menu for each wire.

There should also be an option so that you can select all the wires layer in one go.

This could come up as an optional dialog by clicking on a button, otherwise it defaults to it's current behaviour. Of course, there should be a check to ensure that the operator has selected the number of wires that they are going to insert before bringing up this dialog.
