XREF Attribute not populating properly

We have an issue with our pressure switch symbols not updating properly after linking children. We have a child symbol we put in our pneumatic prints and link to a parent in our electrical prints. We don't use WDTAGALT as we want the same tag. Out pneumatic prints do not have line numbers but use a grid to number. After linking the child to the parent the XREF attribute only populates the sheet number. At this point the two blocks are linked properly as verified by the surfer and other attributes. I can force the XREF attribute to be correct with a cross-reference update. This all works fine if the child is on a sheet with line numbers but not a sheet using grids for numbering. Is this a bug in ACADE?

I guess you have %N is missing in the  Cross-Reference Format, see marked in RED.

So that is the way the drawing is setup. Its like it doesn't recognize the X Zone values on the pneumatic page as %N values right away.

Are you using Reference numbers or X-Y Grid? If you post dwg file, will be helpful. I use X-Y works w/o problem.

As he wrote, He's using reference numbers for electrical schematics, and XY-grid for the penumatic drawings.

AS I understand, it doesn't reflect the grid once it's paired, but if you manually update the cross-references, it updates properly?

Might be a bug.. With an easy workaround.

Is there a block required to hold the reference info similar to the WD_MLRHx blocks that the rung numbers use?

I use both 2021 and 2018. In the screenshot below, schematic has line reference and panel drawing has x-y grid refs set. Both show sheet and references. This is not for parent and child but this should work for parent and child as well.
