Wire Label Multi Insert

Hello,

I am wondering if there is an option to place wire labels (without a leader) through a function such as multiple block insert?

Not exactly sure what you are asking for. You can already insert multiple Wire Labels by selecting several wires at a time.

You cannot multi select entering wire gauge labels.

I am going to Insert Wire Color / Gauge Lables > No Leader > [manual] and
it only lets me click on 1 wire at a time, I cannot make a pick box for
multiple wire selections as you state, or a fence line (much like multiple
icon insertion tool).

I do not want to insert wire color gauge labels with leaders, it over
populates the drawing to say the least.

I understand now. I always use leaders/automatic so had not noticed that was not available with no leader. I do not know what to do here. Sorry.

Is there a way playing with the leader section to get it closer without the
callout leader. It adds allot of ink and craziness to the drawing. I am
assuming you add the leaders to print for a shop but hide the layer on
customer print through a script?

I think you can use a cheat here.

  1. I create a new layer called "LEADER". Then freeze it or just turn off for printing (won't appear on print)
  2. change the leader layer to LEADER via setup - see marked in RED
  3. use Auto Placement (tick align with wire) - this allows multiple selections.

  1. freeze layer.png

hide leader.png

I have some scripts that hide layers as a last action, i can add this to it; however, it doesn't stop the displacement of the wire number, does changing arrow and gap to 0 work? I will try it time permitting and revert.

your example is of wire gauge, maybe it will also work for wire numbers, I know the format is near the same.
