Visibilty setting setting not repondinig

all of the attributes are being shown even if the visibility setting is set to a 1.

If I right mouse and select to hide the attribute it does not respond.

I have seen this before with other Engineers and it "magically" went away, I would like a more solid resolution if anyone else has experienced this.

enter the command ATTDISP and set to Normal

I actually used ATTMODE and set to 1. 

my guess is they do the same thing.
