Title blocks attribute setup

This is my first time setting up my own title blocks.  I have two blocks defined (First Sheet and Subsequent Sheets).  The first sheet block has attributes like Dwg#, desc1, desc2, desc3, sheets, Revision, Draft date, Engr. Date, Check Date, etc.  The Subsequent sheets block only has Desc1, Desc2, Desc3, Revision, Sheets, Dwg#.  I can't figure out how to make the subsequent sheet's attributes equal to the title sheet attributes (dwg#, Desc1...).  Online help indicates I should open the dependent block and select the insert field button under default value, but my window only shows "value" and the insert field button isn't there.  What am I doing wrong?   Thanks.

I am not sure which method you are using. If you are first time creating TB,  I recommend the following tutorial. It is very long but very good. Best of luck.

My web site includes a step-by-step  guide for creating a drawing template and preparing it for automatic title block update.   If you are going to have multiple drawing templates within the same project, you just need to be sure that  any common attributes are all named the same in each template.

Looks like the guide only works on AutoCAD Electrical.  I am just using LT to do electrical drawings.

FYI these forums are for the named software in the title, not your line of work or industry.
