Selection Set Lost On Zoom

I am loosing my selection after I either zoom or pan. I have both PICKFIRST and PICKADD set to 1. I am using AutoCAD Electrical 2017. This was working before I needed to reinstall the software on my machine. Any help is appreciated.

I highly doubt this is anything controlled by an AutoCAD variable. I would try doing a Repair first, then another reinstall.

Although, you could try a Reset To Default, but that may not do anything after a fresh install.

Do you mean Zoom and Pan with the mouse buttons ?

Does the command line shows a ^c^c or something else ?

I was having the same problems.  I figured out you need to have SELECTIONOFFSCREEN set to 1 (mine was working, but stopped randomly, and I discovered it had been set to 0 somehow).

use the link below for a list of all other selection related autocad commands
