Hello!

I am trying to generate a report of my project, having a lot of components, a list of which will not fit on the first report sheet and will be continued on the 2nd, 3rd, ect.

I have found in the "Table Generation Setup" dialog box the section "Row Definition", where I can input the quantity of Rows in "Rows for Each Section". For exsample, 22 Rows.Снимок.JPG

After applying all settings I'll get a report like this one:Снимок2.JPG

The 1st page will be completely filled.

The components list on the 2nd page will be ended on the 22nd Row.

The 3rd page will display the rest.

You can see, that pages after 1st one have a FREE SPACE.

I'd like to have a report with completely filled pages (for example, the 1st and 2nd pages are completely filled, and the 3rd one has the rest information).

Could somebody say (or show by picture or video) how do this?

Best regards,

Aleksey Fetisov

You cannot have different settings for the different sheets.

This is one of the fundemtal flaws in reportss

as ACADE does not use a proper report template but relies on the mechnical bom routines

you know what im going to say

certain other products have settings where as you can configue exactly how your report works

and does not have this issue

Perhaps the lower rows of the table should be included in the drawing template?

The last few lines of the report will not be filled, but the graph of the table will be complete.

In accordance with our design standards, the first sheet of the document should state:

  • Document designation
  • Project name
  • Document's name
  • Company name
  • Developed, checked, approved, etc.
  • Date
  • Sheet number – 1
  • Number of sheets in the document.

On the second and the following sheets of the document, only the document designation and sheet number should be indicated.

Therefore, the title block on the first sheet is large.

The title block on the second and next pages of the document is small.

The report generator must create tables with different number of lines on the first and other sheets of the document.

What are the ways to solve this problem?

Generation of reports (text documents) in accordance with design standards is the most acute not only for AutoCAD Electrical.

A similar problem exists in Inventor.

If the problem is solved, then this solution can be used in different Autodesk applications.
