"Copy To" feature makes all components children of the original?

I'm using ACADE 2024 on Windows 10 pro.

I have a machine with many "Cells" that are identical.  I'm trying to use the "Copy To" right clock command on the drawing name in my project, to save time.  But when I update the tags in the new drawing, it updates the tags in the original as well, to the new tag name.  I need these to be separated.

I've been selecting "Skip" when it asks me to update hoping that helps.  But is there an issue or am I doing something wrong?

Make sure the different drawing sheets have different installation and/or location codes.

The components in the pages will inherit these in the complete tag , making them unique. 

Make sure you have "combined installation/location codes" enabled in the project.

Is this the only way.  I am not using these codes.

Either that, or do a manual on all components but don't update the other pages.

Maybe export to/from Excel will work to help you do this?

If i "Skip" the update once, will it continue to skip on a Drawing of Project wide update/retag?

Does "Skip" continually skip that particular component?

Once it's "skipped", the components aren't related anymore, do you shouldn't see that message again. 

I do see many potential problems... You really should consider using installation/location codes.
