layer color

Hello,

I want to organize the template file so that every time a new drawing is created using the template, I don't have to go to the layers and change the colors. I have added a video. Maybe you can advise me on how I can handle this.

When creating a new sheet, are you asked to insert the WD_M block?

This is the block that contains the layers used, and the correct settings. I'd recommend that you insert the WD_M and WD_PNL blocks in the template, so that you're not asked to insert it. Also, make sure the layers are correct in your template/DWT.

If I understand you correctly, you're talking about the WD_M block attribute. I opened the Block Attribute Manager but don't understand which attribute is responsible for the element tags and Terms layer color. I tried comparing it with another template's WD_M block attribute, but I couldn't find which one is responsible for the element tags and Terms layer color

It looks I fixed the error. The problem was that one block inside my template had WD_M. I deleted it and created a new template file without the WD_M block, but when I use this template, the WD_M block is inside. It’s probably being inserted automatically into the template. It seems to be working well now. However, if I want to have a different color layer, how can I change the default layer colors? Should I create a template file with the layer colors I want?

The WD_M.DWG block is what controls this. Open it and have a look at the layers there.

But, yes. You should set up the layers correctly in you DWT template.
