Installing AutoCAD Electrical 2023 for newbie

The commercial version of software can be purchased from www.autodesk.com website. Here, we will discuss the procedure to download and install educational version of AutoCAD Electrical.

• Open your default web browser application and go to the web page https://www.autodesk.com/education/home.
• Log in using your student/educator credentials. Click on the Free software link button at the top in the web page. Scroll down on the displayed page and click on the Get product link button; refer to Figure-1. The web page to download and install AutoCAD will be displayed; refer to Figure-2.

• Click on the INSTALL button. After downloading, installation of software will start.
  Accept the license terms of software and install software at desired location.
• Similarly, install Autodesk Desktop App and start Autodesk Desktop App.
• Select the My products and tools button from the left toolbar in the App. The toolsets available based on installed products will be displayed; refer to Figure-3.

• Select the I agree to the Terms and Conditions check box and click on the Install button for AutoCAD Electrical 2023. You can also access page for downloading AutoCAD Electrical using web browser at link https://manage.autodesk.com/products/deployments. Make sure to sign in using your educational ID; refer to Figure-4. Select the check box for desired software and install as discussed earlier. Note that you can also customize the software using options in this web page.
