Hyperlinks to Different Drawings in the Same Project

Hello Everyone,

I have been currently fascinated by the Hyperlinks tool in AutoCad esp. Electrical. It allows me to click and navigate to a specific view or note or figure in the same drawing. I was wondering if there is a way to extend this to another drawing in the SAME project.

For example, if I have a project with 10 dwgs., is there a way for me to embed a link/hyperlink on sheet 1 referencing dwg 10.?

If so how would I go about doing this? Its a useful feature since I reference different drawings the in the design package constantly.

You can two options for this:

  1. Use Standalone Cross-Reference Symbols from Icon Menu
  2. Or create your own if you want a pictorially different type of symbol. You can copy and modify the existing Standalone Cross-Referencing Symbol. Make sure you backup the original symbols before modifying them.
